FIRE IN GARAGE

A fire broke out in Mr. W. G. Fitchett's garage at No. 2 Ohiro Road at 10 47 last night, through a naked light coming into contact with spirit vapour. A five-seater motor-car belonging to Mr. J. C. Frost, of 11 Ohiro Road, was saved by the arrival of the Fire Brigade, but the upholstery and paint work were damaged by fire and water. GISBORNE RESIDENT’S HEAVY LOSS.
