FIGURES FOR DECEMBER Palmerston North. December 24. The building figures for the borough of Palmerston North during the month of December show that 49 permits were issued, representing a total outlay of £20,538. Seventeen permits were for houses, the value of which is given at £15,055, which is an average of close on £lOOO. The sum of £7OOO for work in connection with Terrace End School, and £2500 for extending the present facilities of the Afanawatu Club, are included in alterations and additions to existing structures. Permits were issued for 14 motorsheds, the average value of which was £3B.
