THE WINTER SHOW

OPENING TO-MORROW. To-morrow afternoon, at 2.30 p.m., the Governor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) will open the Industrial Exhiibtion and Winter Show, in No. 29 shed, ucar the King's Wharf, and a glance at the catalogue is sufficient to convince one that it will be even more successful than the two previous ones, so far as the entries for tho different sections and the number aud variety of industrial exhibits arc concerned. Every foot of space has been utilised in each of the three spacious buildings devoted to the show, aud considerable trouble has been taken to ensure the most satisfactory method cf displaying to the public the great collection which has been got together. The catalogues will afford a ready means of ascertaining the whereabouts of the clitfcrent exhibits, and choosing where to commence their inspection. The judges of the different sections will flna their work cut out to make a satisfactory selection of tho best of a good lot, aud tue critics will be able to test their knowledge against that of the experts who carry out the onerous tasks entrusted l °No t thffig will be lost in the direction of providing entertainment and amusement for those who attend. Broadcast concerts instrumental music, fancy dancing, antf various competitions will freely utilised for that purpose. Luncheons and afternoon tea will be available in both the industrial exhibition and winter show buildings, so that one can remain there conveniently from the hour of opening until closing time.
