A RADIO PUZZLE
SIR OLIVER LODGE’S DISCOVERY.
(Rec. March 26, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 25
The “Evening Standard” says that Sir Oliver Lodge, after spending, three years in secret experiments in his private laboratory, announces that he has succeeded in doing away with the oscillation which has hitherto puzzled wireless enthusiasts all over the world. Sir Oliver Lodge, who introduced the method of aerial tuning, rendering wireless communication possible without chaos, has now abandoned it. He declares that perfect reception is guaranteed, because the use of reaction is avoided. This will not add to the cost of new sets, and will involve an alteration to existing receivers that, comparatively, will be inexpensive.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
