PALMERSTON LEAD dannevirke

Palmerston North, March 26 The second elevens of the Dannevirke and the Palmerston North Boys High Schools met at the Sports Grounn to-dav. ’ The visitors batted first, but failed to negotiate the deliveries of Lance, Seymour, and A. McKenzie and were all dismissed for 36. Cornwall was the only batsman to reach double figures, although seventh in the batting order. He had compiled 16 out of the 27 when his wicket fell. Ine bowling averages were naturally (lattering, Seymour taking six wickets for *4 and McKenzie four for 20. Cutler and Devanlier gave Palmerston a capital start, 40 being signalled before Vartan bowled Devanlier with a full toss. Devanlier had made 12, and Cutler 27 Birch joined Cutler, and at 56 the latter passed Dannevirke’s total. -^’ ter bringing his tally to 44 he was caught and bowled by Ruby.
