FEILDING ANGLERS’ CLUB
Feilding, March 26. A meeting of the committee of the Feilding Anglers’ Club was held on Wednesday night, Mr. F H. Stockwell occupying the chair. Correspondence was received from the secretary of the Woodville Anglers’ Club, agreeing to the proposal that the two clubs meet near Ashhurst on April 11 for an angling competition. It was decided to give a trophy to the value of £1 Is. for the greatest number of fish caught by any individual fisherman of either club, baits to be restricted to the use of or artificial minnow. A silver challenge’ cup for competition between the two clubs has also been donated by some of the club members. The junior section trophy, which was not won at the last competition, will be competed for again at the meeting with the Woodville Club.
