The .Year Book of the Wellington Harbour Board, which has just been issued, is regarded as being the best of a fine series typifying the progress of Wellington and surrounding district from a shipping point of view. The book contains a wealth of illustrations of the harbour and its activities, and in addition there arc descriptions of the different pictures and. facts, together with figures detailing at length the statistics of the port m readilv-graspcd form, general information in regard to the charges of the port, particulars of the board’s superannuation scheme, imports and exports, as well as transhipments,, works in progress and contemplated, income and expenditure of the port,, telephone facilities, baggage . facilities, and summary of arrivals and departures. etc. Altogether it is a comprehensive historv of the port, a guide to everything connected with shipping, and a compendium of useful information.
