EXCURSION TO PELORUS SOUND
Wellington residents who have not seen Queen Charlotte and Pelorus Sounds, and particularly Tennyson Inlet. the most beautiful part of them, have an opportunity by the “Taniahine” excursion to-day. The vessel will leave Wellington at 1.15 p.m., and will arrive at Picton about 4.30 p.m. A dance will be he’d in the evening, ami she will leave Rcton at daybreak next morning for Tennyson Inlet, where she will anchor for the morning in a coyc completely surrounded by bush, laities will be taken in the launch and boats, fishing, swimming, visiting the beaches, and to Elaine liny, where a short walk gives a magnificent _ view over Croilles Harbour. A call in a* Ship Cove will be made' on the backward trip to Picton, which will be reached about 5 p.m. Leaving again f> n m the “Tnnialiinc” will land her passengers at Wellington wha-.f at about half-past nine.
