NO EXCUSE FOR PESSIMISM

The “Economist” computes the profits of 1490 British joint stock companies for three months, and gives Hie average at 12 per cent., an increase of 50 per cent, over 1922. The “Daily Express” declares that there is no excuse for pessimists here or abroad to describe as finished a nation whose trade lia= reached the colossal figure of two billions sterling a vear.—Sydney “Sun” Cable.
