Dunedin, January 15.
That the onus for the faulty accommodation arrangements on tiie ferry steamer 33 7 aliine from .Wellington on January 8, when the English bowlers were inconvenienced, rested cither with the Tourist Department or* the Union Company, was the opinion expressed at to-iiignt’s meeting of the council of the Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association. It was considered that the association had been absolved 1 from bltnne, despite reports to the contrary. The general manager of the Tourist Department telegraphed that on December 23 the Union Company had made reservations of the best accommodation possible. • A councillor declared that the denial that the bowlers had not slept on deck was incorrect, and also declared that berth accommodation was vacant. It was decided that the Union Company should be asked for a statement on the matter
