fames S. Munro, aged 21, a single man, employed as a fireman on the railways, received fatal injuries while his train was proceeding from Motuhora to Gisborne this morning When nearing the Waikohu’ bridge he leaned out of the cab and his head struck the trestles of the bridge The impact pulled him from the train and lie fell to tile creek below, a distance of 20 feet. He received terrible injuries to tiie head, and died before medical assistance could be obtained. Munro had been transferred from Auckland a few weeks ago.
