REPORTED WITHDRAWAL OF CANADA Melbourne, November 19. Both the Postmaster-General and the Director of Postal Services are sceptical as to the cabled announcement that Canada is going to withdraw from the Pacific Cable Board. They state that nothing further has been heard since the Canadian protest against the duplication of th? cable received in March last. Thev add (hat even if Canada did withdraw the onlv thing that would happen would be a readjustment of finances as regards Britain, Australia, and New Zealand.—Press Assn.
