DEBTS TO BRITAIN
ITALY TO NEGOTIATE FUNDING
SETTLEMENT REACHED WITH RUMANIA
(Rec. November 18, 7.15 p.m.) London, November 17. The Italian Government has been invited to send representatives to Britain to negotiate the funding of the war debt. Discussions start at a very early date.
It is announced that a settlement lias been reached with Rumania, and it is hoped an agreement will be reached on the war debts of Portugal, Greece, and Jugo-Slavia during the next few months.—Reuter.
THE FRENCH DEBT (Rec. November 18, 7.15 p.m.) London, November 17. In the House cf Commons Mr. Churchill said he had received a letter from M. Caillaux intimating acceptance of the principle of the arrangement for discharge of tlie French debt in annuities of twelve and a half millions, extending over sixty-two years, subject to the settlement of outstanding important points.
