ON LONELY ISLAND
CASTAWAYS DISCOVERED Sydney, June 18. After being marooned for three months on Nassau, a lonely’ island in the Pacific, castaways from the auxiliary schooner Samoa, owned by the BnrnsPhilp South Sea Company, were discovered by the American yacht Goodwill. The owner wirelessed the news to Apia. He reported that the Samoa was lost on April 29, and is a total wreck. The passengers and crew are safe. The Lady Roberts has sailed from Apia to rescue the castaways. The Samoa was built at Whangaroa in 1902.—Press Assn.
