NEW ZEALAND TEAM. Miss Gwitha Shand, who will be one of the New Zealand representatives at the Olympic Games;, arrived from Christchurch yesterday, and will leave by the Main Trunk express to-day for Auckland in order to join the Niagara for the voyage to Vancouver. The Olympic Council will hold a send-off gathering in her honour this morning. The New Zealand team for the games consists of the following: —A. E. Porritt (at present in England), 100 and 200 metres; swimming, E. C. Heard, 200 metres breaststroke, and Miss Gwitha Shand, 100 and 400 metres free stroke; boxing, O. Purdy, featherweight.
