SPANISH OFFENSIVE IN MOROCCO
■HEAVY LOSSES RY THE RIFFS REPORTED.

A message via Paris states that the Spaniards have launched the much heralded offensive against the Riffs. The battle raged for a whole day. An official communique states: The Snanish lost five killed and thirty-four wounded: The Riffs lost heavily, three hundred dead being counted on the battlefield.—Aus.-N.Z Cable Assn.
