DEATH SENTENCES
ON INDUSTRIALISTS IN MOSCOW CHARGED WITH ECONOMIC ESPIONAGE Moscow, May 8. The trial of sixteen industrialists charged with economic espionage, corruption, and. unfair practices has concluded. Two were sentenced to death and a number of others to long terms of imprisonment. All the accused were connected with a textile trust. The prosecutor described the proceedings as an effort to prevent private capital from conquering the wholesale trade. —Reuter.

Moscow, May 8.
The Provincial Court of Ekaterinoslav passed the death sentence on four former officers of the Denikin and Wrangel armies. It was alleged that they were connected with anti-revolu-tionarv associations abroad, and had killed many Soviet officials.—Reuter.
