SIR FREDERICK MOOR GOES OVER TO NATIONALISTS THE SECESSION MOVEMENT Capo Town, May 8. Much surprise has been caused by the announcement that Sir Frederick Moor. ex-Premier of Natal, has gone over to the Nationalists. Speaking at Strand, Mr. Charles Nalan, a prominent Nationalist leader, stated that he would give a pledge on behalf .of the leaders of his party that secession would only come with the full concurrence of the English and Dutch speaking sections. Addressing a meeting at VictoriaWest, General Hertzog denied that any undertakings had ever been given that secession propaganda should, cease but only that during the period of co-operation between the Nationalist and Labour parties no steps would be taken in Parliament to get a Republic. —Aus.-N.Z.
