Some time was devoted by the City Council last night to consideration of the question as to whether a charge should or should not be made for admission to tho Wellington Zoo on Sundays. . The Legislation Committee recommended that the city solicitor should include this in the general local Bill to Im placed before next session of Parliament. . Councillor H- D. Bonnett said that Wellington had as good a zoo as any in the Dominion, but. more money was required to extend it. Councillor AV. J. Thompson suggested that if they could not charge on Sundays, they would have to consider the question of increasing the prices of admission on week days. Councillor J. Burns pointed out that the council had lost over £2OOO on the zoo last year.
