Tahiti, en route from Sydney, stating that the vessel will arrive in tilie stream at Wellington at 6 o’clock this morning. The ship will bo inspected in the stream bv the port health officer, and will berth about 9 a.m. at tfte King’s Wharf. The Tahiti is to sail from Wellington tomorrow afternoon for San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete. TAINUI LEAVES COLON. According to a cable message received by the Shaw. Savill. and Albion Co. the Tainui left Colon on the evening of Anril 25 for Southampton and London, en route from Wellington. The vessel sailed from here on April 4. MATAKANA AT LONDON. The Shaw. Savill, and Albion Co. have been notified by cablegram that, the Matakana arrived at London on the morning of April 26 from 'Wellington. The vessel left here on March. 15. ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. The Huddart-Porker Co. have received a cable message from Sydney intimating that the Ulimaroa sailed frem Sydney at noon on Saturday for 'Wellington. She has abroad 170 passengers and some 70a tons of general cargo. The Ulimaroa is due here on Wednesday, and she will leave on her return to Sydney on Friday next. THE NIAGARA. En route from Vancouver, the Union Co.’s Niagara left. Suva- on Friday, and is due at Auckland this morning. She is to continue on her voyage to Sydney tomorrow. THE TUTANEKAI. The Government steamer Tutanekai is to leave Wellington to-day to complete her tour of Cook Strait lighthouses. She is expected to be away for about three days. DEVON LEAVES PANAMA. A cable message has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Co. announcing tfae departure of the Devon from Panama on .Anril 23 for London, en route from Wellington. MOERAKI FROM MELBOURNE. At 1.45 p.m. yesterday the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Moeraki arrived in the stream at Wellington from Melbourne direct. Pratique

The Moeraki left Melbourne at 4 pm. on Tuesday last, and experienced moderate north-easterly to north-westerly winds and seas for the first two days. Line report that this Port Pirie. now loading at WhakatAne, will leave there to-night for Gisborne and Wellington to complete loadin- for Loudon. The vtssel is expected here on Friday. THE KING HOWEL. Mention was recently mn.de of a eteamef named the King Howel, which was reported tn be en route to Auckland with general cargo. It is now understood that the vessel is on her way from Continental ports to New Zealand with general merchandise. A cr.ble messate reports that the King Howel sailed frem Colon on Wednesday morning last for Auckland. The King Howel was formerly the Oephalomia, and, prior to that, the Statjils. She is a steel, screw vessel of 5127 tons gross, built and engined at Hong-Kong by the Taikoo Dockyard and Shipbuilding Co. The King Howel is owned by the King Line, Ltd., of London (Messrs. Dodd, Thomson, and Co., Ltd., managers). THE CANADIAN PIONEER. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Pioneer arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Dunedin and Lyttelton, and berthed at the Glasgow Wharf ha continue loading for New York. Boston, and Montreal. The vessel will leave here at daybreak to-morrow for Auckland, and is expected to sail finally from that port on Saturday next. DORSET LEAVES PANAMA.
