PROPOSALS OF VICTORIAN BRANCH CHILDHOOD ENDOWMENT LEVY ON WEALTH The Victorian branch of the Australian Labour Party has endorsed the principle of universal motherhood and childhood endowment, and suggests the imposition of a levy on wealth as a means of raising the money required. THE BALLOT-BOX SCANDAL EXPULSIONS ENDORSED Sydney, April 22. After a protracted discussion on the appeal of the expelled members of the Australian Labour Party, on the Bal-lot-box Committee’s report, the Labour Conference, by a large majority, endorsed the expulsion of Messrs- Bramston, Buckley, Sutherland and Bailey.
