RAIN IN DUNEDIN
WEIX3OME ADDITION TO WATER SUPPLY. By Tbi.egrai’h—l’unss Association. Dunedin, April 22. After a protracted spell of dry weather hopes were entertained this morning that the drought was at last to be broken, as a steady, though not very heavy, rain set in, and continued for’ the greater part of the day. The rain cleared off in the evening, but tho weather remained overcast. Bain has fallen on only four days this month. To-day’s rain should materially assist in augmenting , the supply in tho various city reservoirs, but the parched ground could do with a ccnridorably greater amount of msistrare.
