GIRL KILLED AND FATHER INJURED By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, April 21. A fatal motor accident occurred at Tycho Flat Road yesterday afternoon through a car overturning, resulting in the death of Miss May Black, aged 17, daughter of a farmer at Salisbury. The car was driven by her father, and the cause of the mishap was the breaking of the steering gear, the car swerving and running up an embankment. Mr. Black was pinned beneath the car one on. side and his daughter on the other. Miss Black was killed instantaneously. Mr. Black suffered a broken arm and collarbone, tome broken ribs, and also internal injuries.
