♦ ANNUAL MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Carterton, January 25. At the annual meeting of the Wairarapa Rifle Association the balance sheet produced showed a credit of .£123 as compared with .£ll6 Bs. 9d. last year. The Greytown Defence Rifle Club ap. plied for a reduction in the charge of £5 per annum made for the use of the Papanui range, and the request was not agreed to. It was resolved to hold the championshi o meeting on March 13, 14, and 15. The programme of last year was adopted. Eight matches of £BO, Midfield aggregate of £fio, King’s prize of £lOO, a teams’ match, and a ladies’ match. A service match has been added to the list of matches. t . It was decided that the association purchase the ammunition and supply it to competitors. The election of officers resulted as under:—Patron, Sir Walter Buchanan, M.L.C.; president, Mr. V. E.
