LAUNCH FATALITY
« STILL NO TRACE OF BODIES. The search for the bodies of the victims of the Island Bay launch fatality was continued unsuccessfully until a late hour last night. Constable Baker, in charge of the police station at Island Bay, said there had been a light swell on all day, biit not sufficient to prevent them making a careful search all about the island. It had been proved by experience that I the current with a southerly wind similar to that on the day of the tragedy, moved in the direction. of the entrance to the harbour, and it was more than probable that the bodies might be located in the vicinity- cf | the Pencairow lighthouse. However, nothing was reported last night. It is pointed out that the bodies v,-hero-over they are, should rise to the surface about the end of the week, and this will make tho search easier. The inquest has not been fixed until tho remains of the men are recovered or until time precludes the possibility of their being found.
