OPPOSITION TO SEPARATIST MOVEMENT t DECLARATION OF GERMANS IN PALATINATE By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. London, January 17. The Cologne correspondent of “The Times” quotes the following:—‘‘ln tbe name of 700,000 German subjects in the Palatinate, we solemnly declare our only wish is to have the population freed from the slavery of Separatist domination, remain true to the Gorman Reich, and live in accordance with the Treaty of Versailles and the Rhineland .Agreement.” . This, says the correspondent, is an ext: act from an address handed at Hannheitn to Mr. R. Clive, British Consul at Munich, when bo received a deputation consisting of the leaders of every political party, trades unions, Indus' trial, and religious organisations, headed by tbe aged Bishop of Spej'er and the President of the Protestant Chtjrch. The address, which accused i.he French Government of actively supporting the Separatists, further stated that the people of the Palatinate would •lever willingly tolerate the terrible opof tho so-called Separatist Goveminent. —“The Tinies.”
