* e By Telegbaph—Press Association. Corr xight. The bush fires in the Sutton range, in Victoria, are now well in hand. Tho Victorian Cabinet has decided that tho Dalhousie by-election shall proceed as if no composite Ministry had been formed. It is understood (reports: a London message) that the National Federation of Fruit Traders propose to ask shipowners to make a further reduction in the freight on apples. No details are available as to the cost of the Sydney harbour bridge, but it is estimated to be approximately £6.000,000, not including upwards of =£500,000 for land resumption. The cost wa,s estimated ten years ago at £2,750,000, but that was for a lighter bridge. __________
