A RADIUM “DRIVE”
SPECIAL EFFORT ON DECEMBER 21. . This special effort on December 21 is io be made without prejudice to the collecting work now being carried on. and will be a sort of concentrated pre-Christmas effort to attain the financial goal of the appeal before Christmas Day. "A Digger” was thanked for his gift of a section (Government valuation £210) at Lyall Bay, and the committee feels that this example should l have a stimulating effect op what is proving te be an uphill campaign. AVith regard to the radium fund collected some years ago in Palmerston North and neighbouring districts, it was reported that members of the committee had conferred with'the Mayor of Palmerston North. Mr. Nathan, who had promised te look into the subject. It was resolved that Palmerston North members of tho British Medical Association be written to with a view to securing their interest in the matter.
