A fall of 4s. 6d. per ton in the price of cement as from Saturday last is announced. The price is now £5 14s. per ton ex store, as compared with £5 18s. 6d. The "Wairoa Bell,” the oldest established paper in the Dargaville district, has been acquired by the proprietors of the "North Auckland Times,” and will from the beginning of next year be incorporated with the latter paper.
