PROGRESS OF THE WORK
Excellent progress continues to be made with the Mangahao hydro-electric works. The concrete work is going ahead and tho dam is rising rapidly. Tho power-house building is practically UP to the roof level, and the construction of the roof has commenced. A good deal of tho turbine material lias delivered, and tho generators are on the wav from England. Five pole-gang parties are at work. ’Tho steel towers, to connect Paekaknriki with Khandallah. are duo to arrive during December. Arrangements will be made for -their erection as soon as they arrive.
