SHIPPING DELAYS
NEW ZEALAND’S HANDICAP Tho delay in tho arrival at Wellington of overseas vessels was the subject of a report by a sub-oommitten of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce yesterday. Mr. C. H. Young reported that the sub-«ommittee hud waited on the superintendent of the shipping company concerned in the delay of the s.s. H was explained to us that, while were but five main ports in England, where cargo was worked, four in South Africa and two m Canada, in New Zealand, there were eyjht discharging and eighteen loading ports, on a bad coast. We were satisfied that Wellington was getting its fair share of shipping, and were forced to oome to the conclusion that this city ta not badly served in that respect.’
