EMPIRE CADET SHIELD
NEW ZEALAND COMPETITION. The results of the shooting competition among cadets throughout the Empirp for the Empire Shield last year were published in full by Tub Dominion a litlte over a month ago, and it was stated that 383 New Zealand cadet teams competed, a very high average. The results of this year’s competition are now coming to hand, and, exclusive of the northern command, over 400 teams’ results have been received. At least 150 teams have to be added to that, so that there will be a verj large increase on last season’s total. This is probably attributable to the competition for tho Governor-Gengral’s trophy, adding to tho interest in the general conditions.
