HOCKEY
SEASON OPENED AT KARORI. Karori Park, “the homo of hockey,” witnessed a good . turn-out of club s on Saturday afternoon, and practice games were played. Some of the players showed evidences of training already, and enthusiasm generally points to a good season’s hockey. A JArge number of ladies’ teams turned out The grounds are in splendid condition, fast and even, and next Saturday should see some interesting games, when the allegiances of several wellknown players will be definitely sett.led.
