A PHARAIACA' BOARD PROSECUTION.

Tn the Alagistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon, before Air. F. ' K. Hunt, S.M.. Cox Gordon was charged by the Pharmacy Board with, while not being a registered chemist, he did use the title or description of chemist at'34s Lambton Quay. Air. N. Johnston appeared for the Pharmacy Board, and Air. H. H. Cornish for the defendant. Air. Cornish, for the defence, said that it was perfectly legal for an unqualified person to carry on the business of a chemist providing that a qualified manager was employed to run tho business. The defendant, said counsel, was the only chemist in the citv •employing only registered and fully-qualified men. He had not a single hay or apprentice on hit premises. Tho law expressly gave executors the right to carry on n- business. His Worship intimated that he would reserve his decision.
