NEW ZEALAND LADIES’ ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Ladies’ Hockey Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Monday evening. The president Mr H. D. Bennett was in the chair. Tho following affiliated associations were represented bv delegates: Auckland, Buller, Blackball, South Canterbury, Feilding. Manawatu, Marlborough, Nelson, Otago, Poverty Bay. Taranaki, Wairarapa/ Wanganui, Wellington, West Coast. Vice-presidents from the Southland, Marlborough,, and Canterbury Associations were ! also present. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, the chairman congratulating t?J association upon the substantial surplus of £372 lying to the credit of the association. Considerable discussion, took place on the question of sending a representative team to Australia, but' the proposal (raised from year to year) was finally abandoned owing to the heavy cost. It was, however, decided to make it a recommendation to the incoming committee to arrange for a North V. South Island representative match, to be played af Wellington during tho season. The valuable service to the cause of hockey rendered by Miss K. Mclntosh (who retires from the committee) was acknowledged by the delegates and minuted accordingly. It was decided that the question of colours, territory, and rules be gone into and revised, and a committee was set up for that purpose, The election of .officers resulted Its follow:—Patroness, Her Excellency Lady Jellicoe; president. Mr. H. D. Bennett: executive committee. Misses Fulton, Horton, Hicks, Gilfcdder, Mr. Griffin; hon. secretary, Miss Moore; hott.' treasurer, Miss Welsby; hop. auditor, Mr. A. C. Geddis.
