SEEKS TO BE ADMITTED TO THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The application of a Congregational minister (the Rev. A. E. Hunt) fair nd--1 mission to the ministr* of the Presbyterian Church was before the Wellington Presbytery at its meeting last night. Mr. Hunt recently resigned from the pastorate of the Cambridge Terrace Congregational Church. _ His application read as follows — "In view of what I am reluctantly compelled to regard as the impending failure of. the proposals for church union now before the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches, ! find myself at such variance with tho views oh which the opposition is based that I have felt it my duty to resign my position as a Congregational minister. My resignation has been received both by my church, and tho Congregational Union ‘'with extreme regret? I how beg to apply to tho General Assembly through you for admission to the ministry of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand.”
