HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
The monthly meeting of tho Hutt County Council was held yesterday. There were present Councillors J. Barclay (chairman), Atkinson, J. Whiteman, H. Foley, and Mackay.
Councillor Foley was appointed the council’s repiresentative on the Board of Governors of the Petone Technical School. .
It was decided to protest against the proposed Hospital and Charitable Aid unemployment levy, and- to undertake to provide for any unemployed in the council’s jurisdiction.
Councillors Foley, Atkinson, and Barclay were appointed to the Hydro-Elec-trio Provisional Power Board as the council's representatives.
A petition was received from the Wtmrea Riding to bo included In a special rating area in connection with the Hvdro-Electric Power Board.
