(SATURDAY'S GAMES. i The men's senior hockey competitions' jvero continued on Saturday, on rather heavy and slippery ground. On No. 1 ground, Karori Park, Central met and defeated United. This match wan fast. and at times interesting, but Iho bye of last Saturday seemed to have told Oil tho 'Players, for the play waß not up to the usual Rtfindoxd, Central, ho\vcver t wore determitiod/and by consistent efforts managed to find the net twice. United strove well to equalise, but* were uuable, the ilnal score was: Central, 2; United, 1. The most interesting game on the Park was undoubtedly that played betweon liamblerh and Hutt Valley. Both teams were good, and play at times waxed furious. Superior knowledge of the game and better combination on tho part of Ramblers gave them a win. Hutt Valley showed themselves, however, a good and improving team. Before long they should make themselves felt in Wellington hockey, l'he score was: ltamblers, 5; Hutt, 2. Perhaps the ranst unlooked-for result was that in tho gamo at Hutt Park, played betweon Wakatu and St. Augustine. Wakatu were expected to gain a decisive victory, but the Petoneites managed to make it a drawn eame.

University played Hutt on No. 2 ground, Karori Park, Both teamß were deficient, and substitutes were played. However, an interesting and fast game ensued. Tlni versity netted three goals, and Hula replied with two ift Quick succession. University again came to tho attack and netted another. Tho game did not alter, although both teams strove well to find tho net. The final figures were: University, 4i Huia, 2. Wellington scored a decisive victory over Karori, having the better of the game right through. Tho final figures were: Wellington, 7; Karori, 2. Huia Juniors had no difficulty in defeat Ing Wellington. The score was 4 goals to 2. Butcher (2), Guy and Tlawken scored for Hula, and Fitzjones Tor Wellington. Mr. Wallace was referee. In the junior ladies' hockey match, played at Johußonville, Kia Ora wero defeated by Centics by 3 to 0. The scorers for Oentics were Jliss IC'Lean (2), and Mies Vannini.
