| NEW CONSTITUTION OF BURMA EXTENSION OF LOCAL SELFGOVERNMENT (By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyri/fM London, June. 10. A Whits Paper, contains proposals for anew Constitution of Burma, Tinder which the title of Viceroy of India will be altered to Governor-General of India and Burma. A wide extension of Jocal self-government in Burma is contemplated by means of municipal committees. The Burma Legislature is to consist of 92 elected members, 30 nominated members, six' members," while the Executive Council of six 'will be divided into three committees to deal.with Home Affairs, Finance, and development. Each committee will ctotain one official and' one, non-official member. . Of the nonofficial members it'is recommended that one be a European and two Burmuns.— Renter. • • ■
