Messrs. Dalgety. and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale at Wanganui on March 17, and at Waverley on March 19. At Wanganui a heavy yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle came forward. Sheep were in good demand, and practically a total clearancc was effected at an advance on late rates. A consignment of ewes, wethers, and lambs from Marlborough sold readily. At Waverley, we liad a fair yarding of sheep ■and a small one of cattle, and have to report a total clearance at an advance on reoent ruling values. We auote:—At Wimganui—Fat ewes, light 175., 17s. 3d., to 17s. 7d.; two-tooth wethers, 16s. 3d. to 175.; small four-tooth wethers, 17s. Bd.; others, ;19s. 6d.; two-tooth ewes, 14s. 2d., 155., to 17s. 3d.; four-tooth ewes, 17s. 9d.; fouryear ewes, 12s. lid., 13s. lid., 14s. 2d., 15s. 5d., to 15s.' 6d.; two, four, and six-tooth ewes. 175.; aged ewes, Bs. Id., Bs. 3d., to 9s. 4d.; lambs, Bs. 3d. to 95.; good woolly lambs, 125.; two-tooth liomney rams, 2gns.; Southdown rams, 2gns.: four-tooth Shropshire rams, 2gns ; two-tooth Border-Leicester rams, ljgns. Cattle—Light fat cows, £6 65.; "Small wcaners, 18s. At. Waverley—S.M. ewes. Us. Bd., lis. 9d., to 13s. 6d.; f.m. ewes, 18s. 9d.; cull ewes, 4s. Ud., ss. Id.. Bs.; four and six-tooth wethers, 20s. Id.; lambs, Bs. to Bs. Bd.
