FROM ACROSS THE SEAv The Wellington Chamber of Commerce has received an elaborately-illuminated address from England, the text of which is as follows:— "To the Wellington Chamber of Commerce: The undersigned delegates and members of tho Organising Committee of tho Seventh Congress of tlie Chambers of Commerce of tho Empire held in Sydney in September, 1909, desire to placo on record their very"'sincere thanks for. and high' appreciation of, tho cordial welcome extended to tho oversea delegates by all classes of the community in New Zealand, for _ the generous hospitality g0 freely lavished uponi them throughout their memorable visit, and for tho exceptional facilities which were afforded of becoming personally acquainted with tho dominion of New Zealand, its government, institutions, people, and immense natural resources,.
