THE WARATAH INQUIRY.
MORE AUSTRALIAN EVIDENCE. . — J By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 16. The Board of Trade inquiry into tho loss of the Lund liner Waratah, 9000 tons, which disappeared between Durban and Cape Town in July, 1909, with 300 persons aboard, was continued tp-day. Most of tho time was occupied' by the reading of. the depositions of Australian witnesses taken at. the preliminary inquiry. The depositions included these of 'inspectors, who stated that they had not heard anything to denote that the Waratah was unstable. Many of the witnesses expressed disliko for the vessel, while others regarded her as a fine ship.
