ARBITRATION COURT.
THE NEW MEMBERS NOMINATED. It is stated on reliable authority that Mr. J. A. M'Culloch, of Christchurch, has been nominated for the position, of workers' representative on tne Arbitration Court by a very largo majority; and that Mr. W-' T. Young, of Wellington, has been nominated, also by a considerable number of votes, to the office of acting-member to the Court. It is the duty of an "acting" member to be ready to take the place of the representative should the latter, from any cause, be prevented from taking his seat. , . Mr. W. Scott, of Dunedin, had a unanimous nomination for the position of employers' representative, and 31r. W. Pryor, of Wellington, for the post of acting-employers' representative. Theso two, m fact, were the only employers' representatives put forward. Other candidates who stood in the workers' interests were Member: Mr. R. Slater (Dunedin); acting-member: Messrs'. Rnsbridge (Christchurch), A. Rosser (Auckland), R. Slater (Dunedin),. M'Culloch (Christchurch).
It is expectcd the appointments will be gazetted next week.
