WELLINGTON BROTHERHOOD.
OPENING MEETING THIS,MONTH.
A second step in the formation of a strong men's organisation in Wellington, along the lSies of the English Brotherhood movement, will be taken to-morrow morning, when the Rev. E. 0. Blamires will speak upon the objects and aims of the Brotherhood in the Herbert Street Hall, at eleven o'clock. The first step was taken at a meeting held over a fortnight ago, when the twenty-five men present decided to aim at securing 100' men by July 3 to act as the backbone of the movement. A steady canvass has been going on, and over eighty names were in sight yesterday, and it is fully ■ expected that the hundred mark will be '. reached tomorrow morning. Special precautions have been taken in the event of wet weather to secure a full attendance of the "vertebrae of the backbone," each one being pledged to be present, "come sunshine or rain." Mr. Blamires will visit factories. and workshops in the city during the present month, to bring before men the claims of this movement, and the opening meeting will be held about the end of the month.
