CORNED BEEF TRADE.
There is a movement on foot in Hastings to form a company for tho purpose of making and shipping New Zealand corned meat to Great Britain. It is considered that there should be a better demand for New Zealand corned meats than there is for the Dominion frozen meat, because the former should show to great, advantage in' Britain. At the same time it is thought that, with aa extended market for corned 'meat, there would he a corresponding increase in beef rates in this country.
