OUR WOOL FOR CHINA.
There is likely to be an increased demand in China for New Zealand and Australian wool. During the past twelve months several .woollen mills have' been opened in China, and the expectation is that this enterprise will be pushed on in,order that Chinese troops may bo warmly and properly clothed. The whole of the business is just now only in its infancy, but it is very likely that there will soon be some diversion of our wool export in the direction indicated. At the end of the present year a Chinese wool merchant is expected to visit Australia and New Zealand. The matter is of importance to the Dominion, , as an Eastern demand for our wools would tend to increase the competition at our local wool sales.
