ORDINARY MEETING.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the board was held immediately after, the same members being present. Mr Anderson moved—" That the chairman be empowered to finish the box culvert at deviation road, as soon as the si^ie of the river will allow the work to be carried out." — Seconded by Mr Jtt'Donald and carried. !
The Chairman reported on the state of the river bank fronting Mr Jas. Bell's property, stating that at one place the river was close up to the flood bank, and it the under scour of the river was not stopped the flood bank would require to be removed back to save it from being carried away. He suggested that the board's men be employed to cut scrub and willows, and assist Mr Bell to protect the bank. It was resolved that two coils of black wire be sent down to secure the facing. It was relolved that Messrs Riddell and Henderson be paid 2s 6d per chain for removing and Fe-erecting fencing on line of the ditch at the lower end of Inch Olutha. It was resolved that the clerk be instructed to write Mr W. S. Mosley requesting him to stop removing earth off road line fronting his property. An account passed for payment to Hugh M'Swan, labour at culvert, L6 10a. This was all the business, and the meeting closed.
