Fat Cattle.—lsß . head yarded, including several pens very priniu. Competition was fairly active for prime quality, but ordinary did not attract so much attention. Best bullocks brought L8 17s Gd to L9 15s —one or two extra prime, L0 17.f fid to LlO 10s ; medium to good L7 7a 6d to L8 7s (id ; light L5 7s 6d to L7 2s 6d ; best cows L6 15s to LS 5s ; medium to good L5 os to L0 10 ; light and a?ed L2 17s 6d to Lo. Fat Sheep,—lß3o penned. A very good demand was experienced for best quality, prices ruling for such showing a slight advance, but light and medium quality did not show any improvement in price. Best crossbred wethers brought 12s Cd to 13s 9d—one pen extra heavy 15s 3d • ordinary 8s 9d to 11s 9d; best crossbred ewes 9s 9d to 11s ; light and aged 7s (3d to 8s 9d ; merino wethers 4s to 5s 9d Lambs.—l9s were penned, medium to good. These met with only a very moderate demand, best fetching 8s Gd to 10s ; others 5s 6d to 7s 6d. Pigs.—Only 47 penned, mostly small sorts, with a" few porkers, but no bacon pigs. Suckers brought 7s 6d to 12s 6d; slips 15s to 18a ; stores 21s to 24s j porkers 26s to 33s each.
