Gambling counsellor
A casino gambling counsellor from Queensland’s Gold Coast, the Rev. John Tully, will speak on the effects of casinos on gambling addicts and communities at a public meeting tomorrow. His visit has been sponsored by People against Casinos. Mr Tully is a minister of the Uniting Church who has spent the last five years working full time in counselling and community education programmes relating to addictions and rehabilitation. He is a member of the Australian National Council on compulsive gambling. He will speak at the New Life Centre in Manchester Street at 7.45 p.m.
