Nola Millar
Sir, — The Friends of the New Zealand Drama School, under the aegis of the Nola Millar Library of the New Zealand Drama School, are undertaking a project to collect together biographical and bibliographical information on Nola Millar (1913-1974), foundation director of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council’s first drama school. While something is already known of her influence in the New Zealand theatre and her value as a distinguished librarian at the Alexander Turnbull and Victoria University libraries, there are sure to be friends, colleagues and former students, unknown to the organisers of this project, who will have much to say about her. It is hoped to collect letters, photos, memorabilia, personal recollections and accounts of her activities, especially in the amateur theatre outside Wellington. Those with information about Nola Millar and contributions of material are invited to send to the Friends (C The Nola Millar Library, P. O. Box 6690, Wellington), who will be most interested to receive it. — Yours, etc., RUTH GRAHAM, Librarian, Nola Millar Library. April 18, 1989.
